Ready to adopt a furry family member?

So, you’ve made the decision to add a furry member to your family…what an exciting time!  No doubt you’ve been imagining playing, cuddling and training your new dog.  You have probably been pouring through pictures online and oohing & aahing.  

Before you fall completely in love with the picture you see, sit down with your family and answer the following questions honestly:

 · What does your average day look like?  Do you work from home or do you work in an office? Is your day quiet or filled with activities?

· How active is your family?  Do you spend your weekends hiking? Or do you prefer watching sports/movies on the couch?  Or are you somewhere in between?

·        Does your new dog need to get along with other pets (dog/cat) or children? 

·        How big is your living space?  Do you have a fenced-in yard for the new dog to run and play?

·        How much time do you have for training – whether potty training or obedience training?

·        Are you an experienced dog owner or is this your first dog?

These answers will help you and the rescue/breeder determine which dog is the best fit for your family.  It is truly a joy when the right dog lands with her right family!
